Comm Secy H&UDD kicks off Mega Plantation Drive

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 10: Commissioner Secretary to the Government, H&UDD, Mandeep Kaur, IAS, along with the Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed, IAS, today kicked off a large plantation drive in the buffer zone at the Municipal Landfill Site Achan as a key initiative under the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign. This significant event marks a crucial step towards environmental sustainability in Srinagar. With the kick-off of this great initiative today, it is estimated that 2,000 trees will be planted at the Achan landfill site.

The joint initiative led by Mandeep and Dr. Owais aims to enhance green cover, promote environmental conservation, and contribute to a cleaner and healthier ecosystem at the Achan Landfill Site.
