Srinagar, Apr 12: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic picnic bus accident near Handwara that claimed the life of a student.
In a post on X, the CM wrote, “The loss of young Asiya Rashid, a promising student from GDC Sogam, in the tragic accident near Handwara is a tragedy that weighs heavily on all of us.”
He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. “We are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring all necessary assistance,” he added.
