SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 14: Director Health Services,Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Jehangir Bakshi today visited CHC Sumbal & CHC Hajin District Bandipora to take stock of health care services being provided to the patients
On this occasion he took in-depth review of progress regarding establishment of Dialysis Unit for which space has been already earmarked. A detailed discussion was held regarding the initiation of dialysis services. The Director issued on-the-spot instructions to the BMO to immediately coordinate with Director SKIMS, who has already assured the provision of two additional dialysis machines as required.The BMO was also directed to ensure the activation of a dialysis machine already available at the facility.DHSK gave some onspot directions pertained to infra and some logistical issues pertained to dialysis unit so that the dialysis services are available to general public at the earliest and as per guidelines.
Apart from focussing on making Dialysis Unit functional, the inspection aimed to assess the healthcare facilities quality, patient care and hygiene standards.
During the inspections DHSK visited various sections of both the hospitals to have first hand appraisal of health care delivery system.He also evaluated the hospitals’ infrastructure, medical equipment and staffing levels. He also interacted with patients, attendants, and hospital staff to gauge their satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
Dr. Bakshi emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare services to the public. “Our primary focus is to ensure that patients receive the best possible care,” he stated. The inspections are part of the Director Health Services Kashmir’s ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare services in the region.He said that the visits are aimed to continue monitoring healthcare facilities and ensure they meet the highest standards.
Pertinent to mention, DHSK was accompanied by divisional and district level officers during his visit.
