BJP will never allow revival of divisive politics: Singh

BANI, SEPTEMBER 23: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched a scathing attack on the opposition during a series of meetings in the Bani Assembly constituency, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to preventing the resurgence of divisive politics in Jammu & Kashmir.

Dr. Singh addressed gatherings in remote areas, including the hilly regions of Duggan, where he condemned the Congress and National Conference for perpetuating their rule by exploiting communal divisions and instigating tensions between Muslims and Hindus over the past five decades.

According to Dr. Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked tirelessly to foster a culture of harmony, ensuring that government benefits reach all needy individuals regardless of caste, creed, religion, or voting preference. Citing examples, Dr. Singh pointed to the transformation from mud houses to pucca houses constructed across the hills, without discrimination based on religion. Similarly, he highlighted the distribution of gas cylinders under the PM Ujjawala scheme, which has benefited households across the board.

Dr. Singh warned the public about opposition parties attempting to exploit communal sentiments for electoral gains. He emotionally appealed to the audience, asking if they would allow such divisive tactics to succeed, potentially harming their children’s upbringing and mindset.

Addressing the women in attendance, Dr. Singh criticized the National Conference’s manifesto, supported by the Congress, which seeks to revive Article 35A and deny property rights to daughters. In contrast, he highlighted the BJP’s Sankalp Patra, which promises the “Man Samman Nidhi” scheme, providing financial assistance of ₹18,000 per year to the most elderly woman in each household as a mark of respect for motherhood.
