BJP chief calls for early Assembly elections

SRINAGAR, JULY 15: Ravinder Raina, Chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir, has urged the Election Commission of India to announce the Assembly Election dates without delay.

“After BJP’s spectacular victory, we are now preparing for Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir,” Raina said, emphasizing the party’s readiness and confidence by urging the Election Commission to announce the dates for the assembly elections as soon as possible. Raina stated, “We are confident that just as BJP achieved a remarkable win in the parliamentary elections in J&K, we will achieve a similar victory in the assembly elections, and the next government in J&K will be led by BJP.”

The BJP Chief stated that the party’s support base in Jammu and Kashmir is growing, and the BJP is hopeful of securing a majority in the Assembly elections.

One of the BJP leaders mentioned that the party’s strong performance in the recent parliamentary elections has boosted its confidence. This success has made the BJP eager to achieve similar results in the upcoming state assembly elections. The leader explained that by pushing for early elections, the BJP aims to take advantage of the current favorable political climate, which would boost party morale and present a strong image of inevitable victory.

Sources indicate that the Election Commission is preparing for the Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring all necessary processes are in place. Other political parties have also appealed to the Election Commission to conduct the elections soon. (KNS)
