TANGMARG, NOVEMBER 09: A grand Mushaira was organized by Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg Kashmir at Karhama Tangmarg, featuring some of the valley’s most prominent poets and writers. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, led by Pir Atiqullah Atiq, followed by a soulful Naat presented by Ghulam Rasool Chopan. The program was presided over by the president of Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg, Mr. Hilal Kashmiri, with the distinguished educationist Nazir Ahmad Ashai attending as the chief guest. The program’s proceedings were skillfully conducted by the young poet Tousif Raza.
One of the event’s highlights was a thought-provoking presentation by renowned poet Mir Afroz on the Tahreek-e-Shukrana (Gratitude Movement), which received high praise from the audience. Several eminent poets from the valley, including Hameed Kashmiri, Muhammad Akbar Kalan, Ghulam Hassan Baiks, Firdous Ahmad, and Pir Atiqullah Atiq, captivated the audience with their poetry, earning widespread appreciation. A special prayer for the speedy recovery of the Bazm’s patron-in-chief was also held during the event. This Mushaira served as a remarkable initiative to promote literary activities, further igniting the audience’s passion for literature and poetry.
