In Srinagar’s Nowshehra area, a sudden land caving incident occurred at Zoonimar locality, compelling ten members of three families to evacuate their homes, which were sealed by authorities the previous evening.

District administration officials mentioned that these families were safely moved out after a part of the land collapsed due to sewer leakage at Zoonimar. As a result, three residential structures were sealed immediately to prevent any casualties arising from the sudden land settling. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or fatalities.

The event caused chaos in the area, leading authorities to relocate the affected families to safer locations nearby. Emergency response teams, including SDRF, police, and district administration, promptly reached the site upon receiving the news.

The incident, occurring around 4 pm on Tuesday, resulted in the families hastily leaving their homes. There were noticeable sinkholes near the plinth areas of the houses and deep ruts within all three structures. Officials emphasized ongoing monitoring of the situation and urged the public not to panic. The road leading to the affected area has been sealed off as a precautionary measure.
