Assembly elections: JD(U) rules out pre-poll alliances

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 17: The JD(U) Party High Command convened a significant meeting in Delhi, with esteemed leaders, including G M Shaheen, in attendance. Following extensive deliberations and a thorough analysis of the current political landscape, the JD(U) Party High Command has made a pivotal decision regarding the upcoming assembly elections.

The JD(U) Party has resolved to contest the assembly elections independently and will not form any pre-poll alliances or collaborations with other political entities.

G M Shaheen, along with the entire JD(U) National leadership, emphasizes the importance of offering a clear and undiluted choice to the voters of Jammu and Kashmir. “This decision reflects our unwavering commitment to presenting a distinct and robust political vision to the electorate. Our focus will be on addressing the pressing issues faced by the people and ensuring the comprehensive development and prosperity of the region. We believe that by contesting the elections independently, the JD(U) Party can better advocate for the interests and aspirations of the people. Our campaign will be rooted in transparency, accountability, and a steadfast dedication to the welfare of the citizens,” a JD(U) statement said.

“The JD(U) Party urges all its members, supporters, and well-wishers to unite and work tirelessly to achieve a resounding victory in the forthcoming assembly elections. We are confident that with the support of the people, the JD(U) Party will emerge as a strong and effective force for positive change in Jammu and Kashmir,” it added.
