Srinagar, Feb 11: Aspirants of J&K Bank Relationship Executive and Bank Associates have requested the authorities to postpone their examinations.

The aspirants who are supposed to appear in Relationship Executive and Bank Associate Examinations from February 21 to 23 have vehemently appealed Jammu Kashmir Bank authorities to postpone their examination in wake of inclement weather.

The aspirants said that a large chunk of aspirants are stranded in Jammu due to closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway from past couple of weeks. “We are stranded here in Jammu. Srinagar-Jammu highway has become a death trap and even if is thrown open for the traffic, majority of them won’t prefer to take this route. Due to high air-fare, aspirants are not able to fly to Kashmir. We are in a fix and want authorities to postpone the examination till weather and the condition of Srinagar-Jammu road improves,” the aspirants said.

“Who will be responsible if God forbid something happens to the candidates. It’s risky to move from Jammu to Kashmir,” they said and sought deferment of these examinations.

Meanwhile, some aspirants have alleged that some brokers have got active before the examination. They alleged that some brokers are demanding money from the aspirants promising them of jobs in Jammu and Kashmir Bank. “We request JK Bank authorities to explain its position and identify these brokers who are playing with the careers of hardworking aspirants,” they said.
