Article 370 identity of the state: Hakeem

Srinagar, Jun 28: Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said that the Article 370 of the Constitution of India, by virtue of which the state enjoys special position in the country, was most dearer to the people of the state adding that any attempt to tinker with it is fraught with serious repercussions.
In a statement issued, Hakeem Yaseen has said that abrogation of the Article 370 of the Constitution of India was not possible even constitutionally adding that different political parties of the country and state have been raising the boggy about its abrogation from time to time to gain petty political mileage. He said that the boggy to tamper with the Article 370 was being raised by various parties deliberately to hoodwink public opinion adding that the people of the state are now wise /mature enough to be deceived.
Hakeem Yaseen has asked the people to identify those political parties who have, through their successive Government regimes, have enormously weakened this Article to appease their lords in Center. He said Article 370 preserves the identity and integrity of the people of the state. He has cautioned the people to defeat nefarious designs of those political parties who have made it hollow over years.
Hakeem Yaseen has asked all the mainstream political parties that they should, instead of shedding crocodile tears on safeguarding Article 35-A and Article 370 of the Constitution of India, use their influence to prepare ground for dialogue and reconciliation process between India and Pakistan so that the ongoing bloodshed and mayhem in the state could be stopped immediately. He said the people of the state are presently caught in a whirlwind of uncertainty and despite and they desperately cry for a healing touch to their untold miseries and suffering. “The people of the state do not need hollow sermons on the Article 370, ” Hakeem Yaseen added.
