Any fiddle with Art 35 will create irreversible situation of death, destruction in JK: Karra

New Delhi, Feb 23: Former Member of Parliament and member Congress Working Committee (CWC), Tariq Hameed Karra Saturday said that BJP’s utmost failure in governing India is resulting in pre-election evil designs.
Expressing grave concern over the tense atmosphere that has emerged in the entire State after deployment of additional 100 companies of para military forces and mass scale nocturnal arrests, Karra said, “The entire approach of handling Kashmir Issue and Issues of Kashmir through the prism of security is absolutely flawed. It has only increased in loss of numerous human lives. And the numbers just keep on piling. The alienation is seemingly getting irreversible.”
Referring to the Article 35 A of the Indian Constitution, which empowers J&K’s legislature to define “permanent residents” of the State, Karra said that any attempt to fiddle with the law will further create an irreversible situation of death and destruction in the State of J&K which will directly have a negative impact in the entire Indian sub Continent.
“The saner elements in BJP should realize that their party’s hawkish policies are jeopardizing the larger National interests. They should desist from misadventures aimed for the sake of party interests. Any evil designed attempt to tinker with Article 35A will invite trouble for entire Country and the region,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention that SC shall be hearing the petitions challenging Article 35 A on Monday. Karra has hurriedly rushed to New Delhi to appear in the Supreme Court for defending the matter as a private party.
“One can see through the evil design clearly. It’s the time of general elections and they (BJP) have no answers for the promises they made to the Indian public. Besides promises they did scams on colossal scale (the Rafale scam). The obnoxious decision of demonetization and poorly planned GST devastated Indian economy which is still not recovering. Looking at the unemployment figures and the farm distress, one can clearly see that the entire country is in a mess and they have no answers to it. That’s why you see Kashmir boiling again. The issue of article 35A and witch hunting of innocent Kashmiris across India is being done right before elections. They want to shift the entire media focus towards issues which they think will help them in garnering Nationalistic sentiments.” Karra added.
“That’s why it is extremely important that political leadership across entire Jammu and Kashmir should come together and stand shoulder to shoulder in this time of threatened identity, war mongering and political, cultural, social, religious and administrative Ingression. The issue of safeguarding article 35A has to be our top priority and the stand should be above all political, religious and regional considerations in J&K. We should not let BJP and its Cohorts make the people of Jammu and Kashmir and its soil, a cannon fodder for their political failures” Karra said.
