Andrabi inaugurates guest houses, dining hall at Shahdara Sharief

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 17: Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, yesterday inaugurated two newly constructed guest houses—one named after Hazrat Fatima-tu-Zehra (AS) and the other after Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (RA)—at the Shahdara Sharief Ziyarat Complex in Rajouri. A newly constructed dormitory and dining hall were also dedicated to the public.

Chief Executive Officer of the Waqf Board Zaheer Ahmad Kaifi, Executive Officer of District Rajouri Abdul Qayoom Mir, Maulana Farooq Ahmad, and other local dignitaries were present at the event. These facilities were completed in record time, addressing the needs and demands of the shrine.

“A few months ago, the foundation was laid for these works, and I personally ensured that they were completed within the target time. I thank the Board authorities for their timely efforts,” said Dr. Andrabi. She further stated that the Waqf Board, in cooperation with the local population, has upgraded facilities for devotees at Sufi shrines across J&K.

“Waqf Board has made significant decisions to build more infrastructural facilities throughout J&K in the coming days. We work tirelessly, 24×7, as a dedicated team to fulfill the aspirations and expectations of the people,” Dr. Andrabi added.
