200 activists join BJP in Valley

SRINAGAR: In a significant development, hundreds of activists from regional parties, doctors, and prominent figures have officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in S1 Church Lane Srinagar. The event, held in the presence of BJP General Secretary (Org), Ashok Koul, witnessed a warm welcome extended to the new members from various districts, including Srinagar, Pulwama, Budgam, and Bandipora.

Ashok Koul expressed his appreciation for the increasing recognition of the BJP as a trusted and commendable party nationwide, offering ample opportunities for its members to showcase their abilities. 

Approximately 300 individuals attended the event, with around 200 formally joining the BJP, relinquishing their affiliations with the NC, Congress, and other local parties.

Notable personalities, including Senior PDP Leader Javid Janbaz, Provincial Secretary of Apni Party Zahid Hussain, CEO of GTP Delhi Saba Bhat, and Dr Riyaz Ahmad Khan, were among those who joined the BJP during the event.

Adv Sajid Yousuf Shah, Media Incharge Kashmir, highlighted in a press release that a substantial number of individuals from across the Kashmir valley, including many prominent figures, are expected to join the party in the coming week.

Shah emphasized the growing strength of the BJP, attributing it to the increasing faith of the people in Modi’s leadership and the party’s commitment for the upcoming 2024 elections. Considering the current weather scenario, BJP J&K has scheduled different dates and venues for upcoming joining programs, reflecting the party’s strategic approach to further strengthen its presence.

Those leaders who were also present on the occasion were Seh Prabhari Kashmir Rafiq Wani, Party Spokesperson Altaf Thakur, Vistarak and Incharges North & South Kashmir Mudasir Wani and Veer Saraf respectively along with other prominent leaders who attended the day-long event.
